What is the internet and how does it work? What is the internet (explained clearly)? The
internet is Millions of servers connected to each other. Each Server is waiting to respond to each
home or business computers to command it and it follows. What's a server? A server holds millions of web pages or web sites. Every time you go to a different web site (dot com) you are communicating with a different server. The server waits for your command. They can get into your computer and change it when you download a program. A home computer can become a server, too. How does the internet work? Millions of servers are connected to each other. They wait for your computer to tell them what to do. They are much like the telephone company connecting everyone in the world. It's like a phone company with pictures, web pages, movies and all the rest you see in it.
How does your home computer work on the internet? The computer speaks the language or servers and sends and receives your commands (through key board and other ways. It receives numbers and translates them into pictures, websites, animations and all the rest. Much cells that make up your skin. Cells make it up but the human brain translates the cells and light into "skin" not a lot of cells. What's a domain? A domain is another way of saying website... in computer talk. Each web site has many web pages, images and so on. Why is the internet free? The commercial on each page pay the web site owner money to advertise on the site. There are many other ways, too. It's a very long story but many completely free sites make many dollars. View free tips and learn about other internet and PC secrets in my Internet secrets menu - here
