Email and e-mail secrets or tips

There are many email secrets that the vast majority of people should know about since it affects them on such a personal level.

Wow this was an old page but Now I just recommend that people should stay away from outlook and other emails you have to install on your computer because they make your computer much more vulnerable to viruses and junk. Instead, Just get a  Free email account from the internet like? Yahoo.com, Care2.com, Mail.com or other companies But I do NOT recommend any Microsoft company... The ones to avoid are : hotmail and MSN, AOL and Also avoid getting email from the company that is providing you with Internet because that's just a bad idea specially if you decide to switch internet provider.

Email has become the worlds best and fastest post office. One of the newest email secrets is the fact that you can have Free Voice through many different email providers (you'll have to look for one through search engines). You can get it through a few different companies. Some free voice mail services but the security issue might come in play. You may want to pay for better service.

Did you know that the commercials you see on your email box are actually paying a great deal of money to your provider just to post there advertisements on your email box? Well, they do and that's why it is free to you. Most professional email services keep your information confidential and private but they do know if you click on the commercial or open the emails that they send you. Cookies and other devices are used to find discover this information to insure the advertisers that they are getting the exposure they pay for. In return, we all get free email.

Email security

At times, Email can be insecure do to the fact that some people know "tricks" and can either read your private messages, steal passwords or other acts of hacking. For complete security it's usually best to send messages using encryption or email providers that insure and prove complete security. As I said earlier, At times companies share your information with other companies but it's usually not for evil reasons... they just want to know what you like or would be interested in. Many email secrets have already been shared with the public but some people either don't care or don't worry about what goes on with their email as long as it's free.

Secure email

Another email secret is the fact that you can use a "secure email provider" If you are a little paranoid or just worried and want to keep all your emails completely private. Most secure email providers charge a small fee but they usually keep your messages encrypted and secure. I used to use a free and secure email provider called http://www.ziplip.com but there are many others around. Do some research and find out which one fits your needs. You can also purchase security soft ware that can keep your current email a little safer. They're usually not a strong necessary to purchase email security software but if complete security and privacy is your desire.. go to your local software store and get some. When using the internet it's best to be cautious and safer then sorry. Make sure that all the page have the "Security Lock" on your browser to insure that all your pages are really secure (specially if you pay for secure email).

Ways to make your email more secure

A free way to keep your email safe and secure is by having at least 2 different email accounts. This way you won't be bothered by excessive commercial or Spam when trying to check your personal email. Sometimes, your email account will be traded or sold to different companies and each company might either send you more junk mail or continue giving your email to others.
You can use one email address to share with good friends and family. The other account should be used for friends you've just met and companies you give your email account to.

Viruses, worms and hackers

You need security software in your computer to protect against hackers from accessing your computer through information they can get if they have your email account. Also, beware of opening attachments. The safest extensions to open are: .jpg, .jpeg and .gif. All the others can be dangerous. Make sure you have virus protection and other security software that can protect you and your computer from potentially dangerous internet threats like Trojans, worms, viruses and other dangerous things that are designed to steal, destroy or annoy.
