Don't worry, my helpful explanations of the movies
will NOT include anything that could spoil any of the movie if you didn't see them yet or even if
you saw it (trust me). * Year 2007 updates:
There are a few typos and strange thoughts in this page but it was good for the
the time I wrote it. I may fix it up later and update it.
All the Matrix movies were great if you understand it ... but there were many
issues that only college graduates would understand.

I will only explain what the Matrix trilogy is all about and what most of the
movie really means. There are a few different ways to see the Matrix, but here I actually explain
what I believe was going through the minds of the people who actually created, wrote & directed
the Matrix 1, 2 reloaded and the matrix 3 which came out in November 2003. I will be talking about
what was going on through the Mind of the Wachowski Brothers not just what "most people"
think the movie is about.
Here are some quick tips about the Matrix Trilogy.
There is much more helpful information throughout this page. Matrix 1 - This movie just showed the awakening of Neo and how he started his quest to being
"the One". Matrix 2 reloaded - This is when the fight against the machines begins even though the
machines started it. Matrix 3 revolutions - This movie must be the battle of all battles. The Armageddon. I'm
guessing there will be a negotiation not just complete destruction. Animatrix - This is the best movie for those who
want to understand how the matrix started, developed and took over the entire planet. It's a must
see if you love the matrix. It's not a goofy cartoon. It was developed by genius animators and
philosophers.
This page has my wise opinions and explanations based
on the fact that I saw both movies and I'm a smart guy (even nerdy sometimes). Even though the
complexity can be mind boggling, there is a good explanation. Sure, most people had a dazed and
confused feeling throughout the movies and at the end but this page may help them understand.
Here are some basic explanations of the 3
major sides of the Matrix Trilogy movies
The Entertaining side The movies prove that entertainment can be more then just typical street fights with fists.
1. The characters can basically beat anyone up with intense martial arts moves.
2. Neo is incredibly fast. Even the FBI and military can't catch him (most of the time).
3. All the special effects amaze us all.
The Political/ Social side The Matrix is trying to wake up American people from corruption of US policies, Ideals and
oppression (not just in the USA but all over the World). The biggest clue is at the End of the
Movies (part 1 and 2) when you hear the music from rage against the machine right after the move
ends.
1. After the movie is over and the credits come out, You are over come by the music from "Rage
against The Machine". Rage against the machine, is a Band whose priority is ... exposing the
United States Policies that they consider corrupt and really bad (the bullying of other countries
& basically the way that the USA doesn't "care enough" about the Planet the exist out
side our borders, even if it means polluting or destroying every natural recourse that keeps us
alive).
2. The "Agents" symbolize enforcers of law that oppress all Americans & others from
seeing how the world really is. The are trying to portray the prisons that we all live in, maybe
even the synthetic food that is poisoning the world (so sick that it's like eating human flesh) and
other deceptions.
3. Most agents are hidden so well, that no one even notices they're there. But when you do, the only
thing you can do is run because if you don't, you will be caught or even terminated.
The Spiritual side This movie is inspired by many different spiritual books. You can see traces of the Christian
Bible, The Buddhist Holy scriptures and natural common sense that usually come from Asian cultures.
In fact, most people who've studied religions will notice all those things in the movies.
1. Well, the name of the city where Morpheus and the rest of the "Heroes" come from is
called "Zion". In the Bible, in the Book of Revelations, "Mount Zion" is the
place where the Victorious leader from God (a Lamb of God) stands to defeat Satan at the end or near
the End of world (as we knew it or know it). The real Mount Zion is located in Afghanistan.
2. Neo seems to be in Love with the "Trinity Lady" and we have all heard of the holy
Trinity that symbolizes spirituality or the facets of God (Father, Son & Spirit).
3. Being "The One" - In Buddhism "Becoming One with your surrounding & the
universe" is the ultimate goal. So Morpheus calls Neo "The One" because he has
reached complete understanding (of the Matrix).
Before I get to the Matrix 1, 2 and 3 I wanted to
mention a few things about where all those great ideas in the trilogy came from.
The Matrix borrowed Many ideas from Japanimation
Movies
(they didn't come up with the Ideas themselves)
Little fact, the special effects (specially the
fighting scenes) you see in the Matrix movies are at least 20 years old in Asian countries. Asian
movies have been doing all those special effects/ fight scenes for at least 15 years.
And many ideas that came from japanimation movies like Akira (it came out around in 1990) - That movie has many of the special effects and fight
moves that you see in the Matrix movies. There's another japanimation movie that I saw that also came out
way before the first Matrix that has several ideas that the Wachoski brothers borrowed. I just asked
a friend and I have the movie in my lap right now as I type and it won many awards in 1995 so it
came out before the Matrix. It is called
"Miyazaki's Spirited Away" The had a little girl, a witch and a Boy who turned into
a Dragon but he was actually the Soul of a River. Anyway, I'll get the name of that movie later. But
in that Japanimation, the witch in the movie, actually morphed the Mouth of the girl in the
"exact" same way that the Agents morphed Neo's mouth in the First Matrix after he tried to
escape from the sky scraper he worked in and right before they injected that weird Bug in his belly.
There are several different levels to the Matrix
movies. There is a Spiritual side, an Entertaining side and a very Political side to the Matrix.
There is an enormous amount of spirituality, politics and social significance.

Main Characters
in Matrix 1 Morpheus is the Prophet who brings change. Neo may be the Messiah who may bring salvation. Trinity is the female apostle who follows and teaches. The Agents are the devils/demons who work to keep humanity in check or in prison ...
depending on how you see it). The Oracle She is a psychic who is a lot like a powerful satellite or fortune teller that can
see many things but only humans can interpret her words.
Info and secrets about the Matrix 1
In the beginning, you see Neo struggling to survive like we all do. Trinity comes to help him escape
from society. Morpheus is the leader who guides him and wakes him up. Slowly but surely, Neo (the
common man) realizes that he can actually save the world even though he is just one man (just like
everyone on earth can by doing their own little thing).
Here are some questions that I'm guess some people will want to understand.
What the hell is going on with the whole ship and
world? Well, the ship is traveling underground (think of it as futuristic sewers). The robots
who took over the real world, are on the surface of earth and they developed complex computer
programs and feed them directly into the brains of the vast majority of humanity through complex
machines. Only a few thousand escaped the machines and those people live in the underground City
called Zion. The Programmed world in intergraded in a way that everyone on earth is living inside a
computer program (like a interactive 3D game that everyone lives in). That's why the machines
control everything except the sewers (that's where humanity lives like rats).
So How do people get back into their world and why
can't you see the robots?
The only safe place to meet the Agents is in the Dream world program that they created. The only way
to get to that world is by sticking a metal stick in the back of your neck (that was pretty silly
but oh well).
What happened near the end when the robots ... you
know? Well, the ship that Neo travels in has the ability to shut down all Electricity (up to 2 miles
from where ever the ship is so they may have turned the light off).
How did he gain such amazing powers? He was Reborn, like someone who hits rock bottom and finally has the courage to start their life
over doing the right thing. That's when he finally changed.
Understanding the Matrix 2 reloaded
Main Characters
in Matrix 2 reloaded
Merovingian (the information minister who has access to most data in the Matrix) and his
sexy wife who shares some of his things. He has very powerful security guards that protect him and
others from getting to helpful data (information). The KeyMaster (he hold Keys and Keys open many different things or even minds). The Twins The pale white twins look like Good people at first because they wear white but are
they?. Those twins are a bit like the Twin towers in New York (the world trade center). Or are they?
If you notice what happened to them towards the end of the Movie you get my drift. The Protector of the Oracle Some man with great fighting skills that has now been designated
to protect the Oracle from possible Agents. He is a martial artist. The special agent There's an agent who can duplicate himself by touching others. Once you let
him touch you, You become like him (A crazy Zombie). Much like the USA again, if you let them touch
your system or country, it's only a matter of time before you become like them and they can control
your stuff. The new Headcounters & Main Headcounters There's a building with much more advanced
security. Neo can't just run in there like the previous Matrix. But who is the real person in
charge? Who is at the top of everything in the Matrix? Is there anything there? Maybe there is?
So what's going on with the ships & city? The city "Zion" is the last place human being have control over their physical bodies.
They use the special ships to go in-out of Zion to recruit & convert people (much like the
Jehovah witnesses knocking on people's doors). They can also visit the surface (where humans are
currently controlled by robots). The city of Zion is also located deep in the sewers with 250
thousand people (one forth of a million).
What's going on? Why is everything in the Matrix
so different and confusing The Agents/ controllers of the top world realized that Neo and the others where learning to
defend themselves so they "UPDATED they're system" much like people improve their home
computer to protect against viruses and problems. Building have special doors. A door can open once
and you can get into a room but once it closes, and you open it again, it opens to a new location
which can be located hundreds of miles away (or they have random locations). These are just a few
new ways to stop the smarter humans who left the matrix.
What's going with those metal things on peoples
backs? People who where born in Zion do Not have them. Only people who were born in the Matrix have
them because the metal holes were placed there by the Robots that control humanity in the surface of
the earth (the have the scars forever).
What's going on in the city Zion? Zion is a lot like the poor counties in the world who are barely surviving. Many people think
that the USA will invade them (or pay some other country to invade them and destroy them and their
good way of life for a crueler way of life). The city is like Palestine in many ways (they're poor
but they eat all natural food and have good family values but lack the technology to be a Powerful
force). Zion has great technology but the Robots have far greater weapons & technology, but is
it enough?
So what the hell happened towards the End or at
the End and why was it so confusing but interesting (as usual)? Choices were made. And after a choice is made there is a consequence. Good choices lead to good
things and life. Bad one's lead to bad things or death. That how life is. Much Like a door (or
opportunity).
The Matrix 2 isn't too complicated unless you missed
the first one. Once you listen to the end of the movie and hear "Rage Against the Machine"
music during the credits, you start understanding the point.
The Matrix 3 revolutions or revolution?
So what's going to happen in the Matrix 3? Well, that's a good question but I'm not sure. The Matrix trilogy is much deeper then most
people can imagine since most of the concepts are based on Asian cultures and a little Christianity
to make it familiar with it's US audience. But the third movie will be coming out in November 2003
so no one will be waiting as long as the 2nd one. I'm guessing that we will see another
unpredictable ending. Perhaps, the brothers will share a few more secrets.
Extra Updated Late October 2003 - So it's Late
October and I heard the opinion of someone who reviewed the Matrix 3 revolution! They said there was
a great deal of talking for a few minutes while the movie started but there was a lot of action
towards the End. So it sound like it will really be worth it. So what do I see? I feel the movie is
going to be some what sad but even though the fight with the machines continues ... there will be
some sort of negotiation and humans will work with the machines and not just destroy them. You know,
like the war on terror. We shouldn't just nuke the planet ... we should learn to live with one
another. You know, I bet I'm right. Well, I'll see in a few days if I can afford to go to the
movies.
Updated Late November 5th 2003 - Okay, so the
matrix revolutions came out and I haven't seen it yet. I may go later in a the week and add
information about it without ruining the movie. The previews look so good! Many idiot reviews are
coming out of critics who just don't get it. All fans know what I mean. Oh, I just thought of
something. !! It's something I saw on the reloaded! HHhmmm, Remember when Neo met the creator of the
Matrix and there were dozens on TV's in the background? Well, if you look closely at the screens you
can see Hitler pop up, then Bush Jr. and Sr., and some people dying. I guess that the Wachoski
brothers don't like Bush either. Who knows what other little things will be popping up in the Matrix
revolutions.
Understanding the Animatrix
The animatrix is much easier to understand! If you
really want to know how the Matrix began. If you view the animatrix you will probably understand the
Matrix without having to study all the movies over and over again.
The Animatrix shows the exact way that all the robots gained control over the planet, it shows how
the matrix began and everything else you wonder about the trilogy movies (The Matrix 1, the Matrix 2
reloaded and probably the Matrix 3 revolution. But the reality is that it's mostly political and is
a statement against the USA and how we bully the rest of the world. Hey, maybe one day there will be
true global justice but who knows. Maybe that's why the the final Movie in the trilogy is called the
Revolution.
Matrix Revolutions - Updated November 12th 2003 - Okay so I saw the Matrix 3 a few days ago but I wasn't sure what to type without spoiling it for
those who haven't seen it yet. So I will try.
In the Matrix 3, there are a few new characters. And
pieces of the Animatrix appear and those who most people consider worthless (like homeless bums on
subways) are more important them people realize. A kid who idolizes Neo in Zion plays a very
important part is fighting against the machines who are on there way to enter the last Free City.
Neo is lost for a while and can't find his way home
but he may or may not find his way back. Trinity sticks by her man either way. Neo can't see how
things have changed for everyone and symbolized his generation and humanity for the most part.
It's a nice movie. I'll try to analyze the characters
at a later time. I'll bring all the symbols in an all the rest of my so called "conspiracy
theories" and so on. I just reread this page and I realize there are mess ups but I'm only a
good human.
